“Our members showed up in droves last night to pick the people who will represent COPE in the next general election,” said Co-Chair Sam Smart, “We’ve got an incredible team, and we’re not just preparing to win this election, but to govern with integrity and fight for people.”

“We’re thrilled to have nominated a group of incredible candidates who are going to fight for Vancouver,” said Co-Chair Nate Stanley, “Now the real work starts: talking to people, sharing our agenda for City Hall, and taking on Ken Sim and the system he represents.”
“The COPE team wants to thank everyone who put their name forward for nomination, sharing their visions and values to the COPE membership,” said Campaign Director Shawn Vulliez, “Every single candidate who ran impressed us, and has a promising future in this party and this movement.”
“Ken Sim is in many ways a uniquely bad mayor. But he’s just a symptom,” said COPE Mayoral Candidate Stephanie Allen today, “Our job isn’t only to replace him, but to challenge the system of violence that abandons people in the streets, dismantles public services, and sells people out.”
The general election is October 17th.
