COPE Sets 2026 Nomination Contest for May 9th, 2026

Vancouver, BC - People who live and work in Vancouver are invited to join COPE to vote in COPE's contested nomination conference for the 2026 election. COPE members will be voting on COPE candidates for City Council, School Board, and Park Board. The deadline to join for new members is April 8th.
"COPE's Sean Orr and Suzie Mah are running again," said COPE Co-Chair Sam Smart, "We need to elect a diverse, experienced, and courageous team to back them up and fight for what is needed."
Aspiring candidates are invited to reach out to the COPE nomination team at candidates@votecope.ca for information on how to seek nomination, or to suggest possible recruits who can fight for the city. The deadline for submitting Nomination Paperwork is April 18th.
"We've got an impressive roster of candidates coming together from all walks of life and backgrounds to fight for Vancouver,” said co-chair Nate Stanley, "COPE is ready to take on Ken Sim and elect a left majority that can transform the city for workers and renters."
