PEOPLE’S MEGAPHONE 101

• You send the files and links and messages below to your friends on Messenger, via Text, WhatsApp, Instagram, Discord, and the other places where you have connections to people who live in Vancouver.

• We’re targeting people for outreach who:

  • Live in Vancouver,

  • Who lean to the left,

  • Especially who are unlikely to vote,

  • Or who trust your judgement.

• Post People’s Megaphone images on social media, too - wherever you’re active.

• We can reach thousands of more voters with your help.

Tips:

• Copy a personal note with the image in order to increase engagement. Just say why you’re doing what you’re doing, and why you like Sean

• Many people don’t know there is an election going on. Target people who are at the intersection of left wing politics, and unlikely to vote first. People who have strong political beliefs, and who trust your judgement especially.

Platform-specific tips:

• Facebook Messenger will rate limit you if you send too many too fast. Send in batches of 8-12, then switch to a different platform, but it will let you send more if you manually download the image and re-upload it.

• Make sure you know your phone plan for texting- some plans will charge you to send images. If sending images will cost you money, send a text-only text
